A fee of $25 will be added to your account for any checks returned to us due to insufficient funds. Your account will be automatically suspended until payment is made to Valley Vista Services.

How does my service become reinstated?

Any service that is discontinued for non-payment will not be restarted until the entire balance is paid, and a service reinstatement fee is received by our billing office.  Please refer to the pay online form to make any payments towards your account.

What if I have a change of address or want to change my service?

Please notify us immediately of any changes in your address or service level.  Unless the business office is notified, collection service and charges will continue.  You can notify our business office in writing (17445 E. Railroad, Industry, CA) or just call one of our customer service professionals at 800-442-6454.

What type of containers must be used?

Only carts provided by Valley Vista Services will be collected.  The carts are specifically designed for automated collection and come equipped with a hinged, tight-fitting cover, handle bars and large wheels.  Carts are the property of Valley Vista Services and are assigned to each residence. Please leave them behind if you move.

What if my carts are too big?

If you do not have the space to move the 98-gallon carts through your gateway, 70 -gallon carts may be available by request.  To request a change to your cart selection, please contact Valley Vista Services at 800-442-6454.

What if I need an additional trash/recycling cart?

Call Valley Vista Services to order another trash/recycling cart. There is an extra fee for trash carts but there is no charge for an extra recycling cart or a larger one.

When should I put my carts out for collection of my trash/recyclables/green waste?

  • Please set carts out at the curb the night before or by 6:00AM on collection day to avoid being missed.
  • Make sure they are at least 1 foot apart and at least 2 feet away from any obstructions like parked cars, trees or other objects for safety reasons. Please remove carts from street after service.

How do I properly load my container?

In order to ensure the safety of our drivers and the public, we cannot pick up any containers that have been dangerously overloaded.  In order to make this easier on our customers we have come up with these guidelines:

  • For 98 gallon residential waste and recycling barrels, do not load more than 80 pounds. Please note, the lid should also close completely.
  • For commercial and bin rental front loader type bins, the rule of thumb is one man must be able to safely move the bin back and forth.
  • For large roll off type boxes the load limit is 6 tons of waste. If a lid is provided, it should close completely.
  • Do not load any containers more than 6 inches above the container top, and never put any dangerous or flammable materials in the containers.
  • If any containers are overloaded or loaded dangerously, the container will be tagged and you will be required to unload the containers until they are safe enough to haul.

What is Assembly Bill 939 (AB 939)?

Assembly bill 939, known as the Integrated Waste Management Act, was passed in 1989 in an effort to divert the flow of waste to California’s landfills.  By requiring recycling programs, AB 939 legislation hopes to protect the environment and extend the life of landfills.
