Position Title: Business Intelligence Analyst

Dept. / Company:  IT / Valley Vista Services

Location: City of Industry

Reports to: IT Supervisor

Salary Range: Starting at $90,000 annually

Valley Vista Services (VVS) is a family-owned & operated waste disposal company that has been serving the San Gabriel Valley and surrounding Los Angeles areas since 1957.

We are seeking a professional with technical and analytic skills to evaluate data, collate findings relevant to the waste disposal and recycling business, synthesize and share such findings in a manner that can bring about effective change (i.e. turning data into insight.) The preferred candidate should be able to resolve specific reporting, operational or other problems by referring to VVS’ data store. The Business Intelligence Analyst should know how to gather and evaluate data to provide market and financial intelligence reports.

This is a full-time position.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Extract and analyze company information across unrelated databases
      • Develop and manage business intelligence solutions for VVS
      • Provide reports through office applications to improve business processes
      • Collaborate with team members for the purpose of collecting data for analysis
      • Analyze business requirements and processes and recommend them to management for implementation
      • Create and maintain documentation that includes the design, requirements and user manuals for VVS, in collaboration with team members
      • Identify and develop needs to the purpose of streamlining and improving the operations of the organization for efficiency and profitability

      REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

      • High-Proficiency with SQL, SQL Reporting and SRSS
      • In-depth knowledge of Power BI, Office 365 Suite
      • Familiarity in Crystal Reports, IBM DB and AS400 server architecture
      • Minimum 3 years’ experience

        PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

        • Bachelor’s Degree
        • 5 years’ experience
        • Website maintenance and application development skills
        • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
        • Familiarity with accounting principles
        • Soft-Pak knowledge

          WORK ENVIRONMENT

          • Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) most of the work day
          • Required to exert physical effort in handling objects less than 25 pounds rarely
          • Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements rarely
          • Normal setting for this job: office setting
