SERVICE UPDATE
On May 5, 2026, the City of Burbank adopted amendments to the Burbank Municipal Code (Chapter 4-2, Solid Waste, Weeds, and Litter) establishing automatic enrollment procedures for customers that do not subscribe to required solid waste collection services. The new rules, which take effect Wednesday, July 1, 2026, require customers to subscribe to trash, recycling, and organics collection services within seven (7) days of occupancy, unless the customer has an approved waiver or self-haul registration. Customers that fail to establish the required service, either the City or Valley Vista will provide written notice that service is required. Customers have fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of the notice to establish service, and Valley Vista is required to enroll customers in required services if they fail to do so.
